Behind the Scenes: Film and Media In-Person

In this session, members of the Collection Management Team will focus on the preservation, digitization, and cataloguing activities of the Film and Media Archive:

Tyler Bequette, Film Preservationist, will discuss the film side of the archive, from the film inspection process to coordinating with outside labs on preservation projects.

Jim Hone, Film and Media Digital Archivist, will discuss the reassembly of Eyes On The Prize under the NHPRC grant.

Irene Taylor, Cataloguing and Metadata Archivist, will discuss both MAVIS, an asset management system for A/V material and FMA material in the Libraries’ Hydra based repository.

Barry Kelley, Processing Assistant, will update attendees on recent acquisitions (2014-now) to FMA, including the Richard Beymer Collection, the Jack Willis Collection, the Jerry Rock Collection, the Edward Burgh Collection, and Paradigm Productions Collection.
