Charles Dickens Reads A Christmas Carol In-Person
Join WashU Libraries for a special event featuring Charles Dickens (portrayed by John Wolbers) as he reads from his famous novel A Christmas Carol, which tells the story of a bitter old miser named Ebenezer Scrooge and his transformation from a supernatural visit by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present, and Yet to Come.
Hot chocolate and cookies will be available to enjoy during the reading. First editions of various works by Dickens will be on display in Special Collections to accompany the reading.
Free and open to all ages.
