Photogrammetry for Architecture Online

Professor Shantel Blakely (Sam Fox School) will discuss the use of photogrammetry in the study and teaching of architecture. Capturing and using photos of large-scale buildings to produce 3D models is a valuable technique to document existing structures and to create instructional materials. Blakely will explore the adoption of this technique for an introductory architecture course and for a field study in Italy this summer. She was awarded a Teaching Development Grant from the Sam Fox School to support the creation of a prototype in collaboration with the Fossett Lab in the Earth and Planetary Sciences Department.n coming.
